Sit the Bambach Way
and improve your health

Lynne Drew

Radiographer Assistant
Breast Test Wales

Before using a Bambach

Lynne’s position involves assisting the radiographers with the day to day running of the clinic. Her main roles include assisting with clinic, setting up the trolleys and processing and transferring film into the Roller Viewer for viewing by the radiographers. The processing of film and operating of the Roller View means that Lynn will often spend up to two hours at a time working in a seated position.

“I have tried using conventional seating but found that it is very difficult to sit and operate the Roller Viewer. If I sit at a height sufficient to operate the equipment I find that my feet do not touch the floor which is a problem. With my feet on the floor I have to stretch to operate the equipment which puts repetitive strain on my lower back and shoulders”.

After using a Bambach

“Using the Bambach I am able to sit comfortably and naturally and able to carry on with my work without thinking about my posture. If I ever have to use the conventional seats I find that by the end of the day my lower back is very sore. I find sitting on the Bambach really comfortable and completely natural. Now when I have to use other seats I notice the difference. it can take time to get used to a different sitting position, but once it is set up correctly it is difficult to use anything else”.
