Do I need to buy a new castor?

If you're considering purchasing a castors because it's not holding in the base, first check whether the castor or the base is faulty. To do this:
  1. remove one of the other 'normal' castors (see 'Replacing Castors')
  2. insert it into the 'problem socket'
If the 'normal' castor holds, then the problem is with the castor that had fallen out
If the 'normal' castor doesn't hold the problem is with the socket and a new base will be needed
